Well done!
Congratulations to Hils and Ruth for their Daily Mail Foursomes win at Tehidy today. The day began with rain and it didn't look good for the match but at 11am the sun came through and it stayed sunny for the rest of the day!
Our 'girls' were giving 12 shots! The Tehidy ladies gave a warm welcome and the match began. Ruth's trolley battery decided to fail on the 4th so Hils swapped trolleys with her and pushed for the rest of the round! What a star!
By the 8th hole Cape were 5 down.
The 9th saw the flicker of a fight back but after an exchange of holes they were still five down as they started the 12th.
After the 14th, they were 4 down with four to play... Come on!
Three down, three to play... the flicker was becoming stronger... Two down two to play... almost a flame.... 1 down one to play.... all square after 18!
The 19th saw a good drive from Ruth down the middle and a stunning 3-wood from Hils which was just short of the green. Our girls on fire at last! The Tehidy ladies, Linda and Lin conceded on that first extra hole... well done... what a battle!
