Anniversary Scramble
Some of us were out again on Sunday for the Anniversary Scramble. The forecast at one point had been dreadful, but it turned out better than we thought.
We did have some light rain but that was about half-way into our rounds.
The format was a Texas Scramble with the aim of a woman in each team. There were 10 teams and we managed 9 ladies out there - unfortunately Sam and Di had to withdraw - but a good turnout all the same.
The scores ranged from 62.5 to 56.6 so a pretty close contest!
The handicaps were worked out as 1/10th combined and we each needed a minimum of 4 drives each.
In third place were Jayne and her team of Kim, German and Timmy; they had a score of 59.9.
In second with a score of 59.5 were Fran and her team of Will H, Mark P and John T.
But the winners had a remarkable score of 56.6! This was Sue D and her team of Roy, Alan A and Mike M!
Well played team! A fantastic score!
It was lovely to be in the club again for the presentation, things aren't back to normal after Covid but we are making good progress towards it.
As always thanks to Mark and all his team for the condition of the course - it gets better and better, and thanks also to the bar staff who had to cope with us all coming in at once!
Well played all - a lovely day!
