The week of 20th July
This week was a busy one!
On Tuesday Hils and Fran played in the Regional final for the Coronation Foursomes and what a score they came in with!
42 points is amazing in Foursomes 21 points on each nine holes!
The only problem was that two other pairs also came in with 42 points ...and you know what I'm going to say...they had better scores on the back 9 so pushed Fran and Hils into third place!
What a shame (bloomin' countback!) but what a fabulous round you made us all proud!

Liz and Frieda played the regional final of the Aussie Spoons at Falmouth and returned a score of 36 points. This put them in fifth place, again count was involved but this time just between 4th and 5th, the winning score was 41 points. Well played both , that is another great foursomes score.

On Thursday Lindsay and I played in the St Austell Open which was a betterball and scored 44 points!! The winning score was 47! We had a lot of fun!
Ros played on Thursday at Cape and sent me this...
There were only 7 playing today (Fran & Hils at Yeovil yesterday, & Frieda/Liz at Falmouth today). It was nice to see Jayne and also Antionette after her recent health problems.
We decided to play a stableford with 2 joker holes, to be selected prior to teeing off, with the joker holes attracting double score.
Neeless to say, there were some high scores. Lyn was winner on 28 points and I was 2nd with 26, although as usual at Cape, 3 others also had 26, so there was a lot of count back checking.
Lyn did a great job with the cards, as there was much confusion over playing handicaps and stroke indices!
Weather warm & calm but a bit dull & even a bit of drizzle early on, but on finishing, we were able to sit outside in the sun - when was the last time we did that?
Thanks Ros and well played Lyn!

Kaluza Classic
On Saturday the Kaluza Classic was played. There was a great turnout so there was a full tee sheet for this 4ball Texas Scramble.
A beat the pro challenge was on the 16th which raised £290 for Hils and Norman's Charity! Brilliant Job!
I was sorry to miss it...more details are on Facebook if you use it and some more lovely pictures.
Well done all, particularly Hils team which won the overall prize! Well played all!
