Charity Coffee Morning
There was a lovely turnout of ladies for Sue's Charity Coffee morning.
There were players from Looe, Tehidy, Killiow and West Cornwall (apologies if I've missed any other clubs) and we were blessed with decent weather.
It was lovely to see Anne and Jean who came to do the raffle, and many thanks to Di for signing everyone in, preparing the cards and also spotting for us on the 12th - brilliant!

Jean and Anne also helped Ros with the cakes... Cape ladies had been asked to provide Cake for everyone and what a spread they created!
The cakes were delicious...I can vouch for the taste of several of them... the ginger cake; millionaire's shortbread; lemon and orange polenta cake and the tea bread! (Just the odd calorie, eh?) So, particular thanks from me to those bakers... I'm just sorry I didn't have space to try all others - they all looked yummy!
The course was looking good despite the recent problems with the fairway mower. George has two storage units coming soon and they are also awaiting a new mower. Fingers crossed.
The coffee morning betterball competition was held over 15 holes although ladies were welcome to complete the course if they wanted to.
Countback was needed to decide second place... (surprise!) with 39 points... were Sandy King from Looe and Lynn Exley.
Well played both...
but they were beaten by these two wonderful women...
who scored 40 points - well played Pam and Frieda!
Sue raised £430 for the Alzheimer's Charity. Well done everyone for making it such a successful day.
