Still and Sunny
What a change to the weather!
The storms, wind and rain of the last few weeks was replaced with exactly what we wanted!
It was still and sunny and dry!
It was very heavy underfoot and buggies are still banned but it was so good to be able to get out on the course.
Several ladies took advantage of the weather and got in rounds whenever they could.
Thursday saw 11 of us take to the course to play the front nine adding our scores together and discovering the winning pair were Jenny and Marion! Well played both!
It has to be said that a lot of us have been reluctant to play recently with all the awful weather; it takes an effort of will to pack the golf stuff in the car and head out to Cape... but we were certainly rewarded well with the renewal of our fun and friendship.
Saturday was an 18 holes stableford and we had an entry of 12 for the competition plus four others came and played 9. Sixteen of us out on the course and Lindsay and Di were awaiting us to do the cards. It's good to see many out on the course,
Jayne and Sam playing on to the 7th green. |
Our winner was Sam with 6 pars and a birdie on the 10th scores a fabulous 37 points (and a handicap cut overnight)
Overall Position | Player | Score | Placing | Countback

3 | Pring, Frieda | 29 pts (23) | Overall 3rd
4 | Thomas, Rosalie L | 28 pts (30) |
Hilary was second with 33 points (4 pars and a birdie on 12),Frieda was third with 29 and Ros just one behind on 28.
All of us except Sam had NRs on the card - we rustled up 45 between us all - finding the first hole the most difficult and the 10th the easiest!
Well played all, it's good to knock off some of the rust...let's keep fingers crossed for more calm weather so we can play a bit more!
