Polglase 1 (Medal) and Millennium Trophy
Saturday 5th March - St Piran's Day!
Ten ladies entered the Polglase Trophy in conditions that look wonderful in the picture but were very difficult!
There was a strong north-easterly blowing which all but one of us found really challenging! The colours were amazing though!
St Just was awash with runners for the Cousin Jack run between St Just and St Ives along the coast path. That would have been extra tough into that wind.
Back to golf - our winner took only 88 strikes at the ball... (14 shots better than the next best!), she had a Nett 74 including 4 pars and a birdie on the 14th - well played Hilary!
In second place - also with 4 pars and a birdie (on the 7th) was Frieda with a nett 80!
There were only 6 shots between the remaining players with Claire coming third with a nett 85,
Overall Position | Player | Score | Placing | Countback | |||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Manley, Hilary | 88 - 14 = 74 | Overall Winner | ||||
2 | Pring, Frieda | 103 - 23 = 80 | Overall Runner-Up | ||||
3 | Hosking, Claire | 104 - 19 = 85 | Overall 3rd |
Well played everyone for battling through!
Chris L and Sue S; Sarah, Angie and Jayne also came to play but not enter the competition.
Well done all - especially Hils who was a level above the rest of us!
