Red or Blue Tee Competition
Sarah had invited us to play a mixed tee competition today. We could play off the Red or Blue tees and had to mark whichever one we were using on the card.
We then needed to work out Course Handicap and Strokes received and off we set.
It turned out that I was the only one playing off the Blue Tees but we are pleased to report that the system works (entering scores and handicap adjustments etc).
You can't see it ...but ask Frieda about the 'floating' boat! |
There were eleven ladies who were able to play - we still have a lot away, or injured or unable to be here - it'll be good when we have everyone playing again.
The overcast and drizzly forecast came to nothing and we had warm sunshine and almost no breeze till we got towards the end of the round.
The course is looking fabulous.
Sarah and Frieda on the 10th tee. |
Playing the blue tees shortens the holes (some by more than others) but also it changes the par on 9 of the holes which makes it a real challenge. There is an adjustment made to handicap to offset this when we enter the scores on the system.
As we began the back 9 a mist started to drift in, but it came to nothing.
Captain! |
We really were fortunate with the weather.
In first place with a fabulous 39 points was Antoinette! Great score.
I was second with adjustments made for playing from the Blue tees and Fi and Bron had to be separated on countback to decide third place.
