Sunday and Tuesday Mizuno

Sunday's 666 competition

What a difference a day makes...this was one of the mixed opens that Mark G the men's captain has managed to arrange.

There were 18 teams of three...counting only one score on the first six holes; two scores on the next six and all three to count on the final 6 holes.

There was hardly a breath of wind so conditions were a lot easier than yesterday and there were some great scores.

Hilary and I both played (in different teams); neither of us were in the winnings though Hils was close...and looking at the scores, seems to have carried her team single handed!

Well done Hils!

Mizuno

The day dawned damp and windy - most unpleasant - but several ladies representing Cape in this Pairs Betterball competition.

Unfortunately play was incredibly slow - hoping to get in before the rain proper started was a faint hope that vanished into the mist, rain and strong wind.

However - all that being said - somehow Sam and I managed to play a good game... when one made a mistake the other player scored. We came in drenched, dripping wet and cold but with 46 points... there was a very long wait for the final result - I was certain we'd been beaten by Jon Bird and Rob Lewis ...but ... we pipped them!
Whoop whoop!!!

We won!!! And still can't believe it!

PS...the golf stuff took over 3 days to dry out - draped all over the kitchen... but it was worth it!
