Thursday 5th September
We had four of our section playing in the Silver Autumn Meeting at Trethorne so it was great to see ten of our ladies playing with the additional Doris!
There were some amazing scores too, with Sarah winning with a fabulous score of 22 points (plus a blob!!!);two four pointers and three three-pointers!
Super play!
In second was Judy with a super 19 points (and TWO blobs!); three four-pointers in her score!
In third on countback from Pam was Di with 17 points!
Well played all - and great to see Doris!
Whilst these frolics were happening at Cape, Bev, Claire, Fi and myself were at Trethorne. There were 43 ladies competing and though we didn't shine we played pretty well.
Claire sporting the CCC cap, posted a Nett 75 with the winning score being a Nett 71(a lady from Perranporth).
We had a super day and were proud to have represented Cape. Claire was singing Cape's praises to a society who were there.
We are always learning and today I learnt that I should read the local rules carefully before I start! I didn't ... so when the ball seemed to be out of bounds on the 18th I went back and took three off the tee... scoring a 7 on that hole.
Only to find out that those OB markers only apply to the first hole and not the 18th!
Live and learn eh!
