Thursday 18th April and Dee and Ray's Trophy

 Catch Up!

Sorry about the gap! 

Lyn on the 14th

Eight ladies were available to play the back 9 and we had lovely sunshine!

The shot of the day was by Lyn on the 14th, her second shot had ended up on the far edge of the proper green, and she had a really awkward chip which actually ran over the hole! 

Frieda was second with 16 points and yours truly was first with 19 points...we're going to miss the huge holes on the temporary greens!

Dee and Ray's Trophy

On the Saturday we had Dee and Ray's Trophy and we managed to rustle up four teams of three. I say rustle up because we had a lot of ladies away.

As our group came off the second green Chris D stopped and was staring at the sky.

What was she gazing at?

Kites!

Initially there were two, then another two...then four more... in the end we saw twelve kites!

Fabulous to see!

It was beautiful out there and we had fun - a scramble is always an interesting format.

At the end there were only two scores among the four teams...61 or 67! Two lots of countback were needed!

Frieda, Lyn and Jenny were second and winning with the same score but a better final six holes were Lindsay, Chris D and myself.

I have to say that it was largely Lindsay's chipping in and putting that clinched it!!

Well done everyone, it was a lovely competition and thanks to Poppy for coming to present the trophy and give us all a beautiful crystal.
