Lady Captain's Charity Cup

Lady Captain's Charity Cup!

What a fabulous day!

There are lots of pictures to enjoy which show how much fun was had on the course today!

And what people thought of us heaven only knows!

All put in motion by the wonderful understated example of our captain, Sarah!

Be prepared for an overload of pictures and very little golf!

First off were these reprobates, looking so colourful!

Following close behind were Lady Captain and her team...

Standing sensibly wasn't allowed!

A rather sophisticated group followed on!

Classy or what?

The weather, which had started a bit foggy was a blue sky sort of day although there was a lot of damp on the grass and we left lovely trails through the grass!

The same was true of the greens where there were 'stepping stone' patterns of footprints!

This made putting interesting. Sometimes you might see a line that you'd be tempted to follow but it was easy to be misled!

Misled....?

Is it October?   Is that a Father Christmas I see before me?

You rub your eyes because you can't believe what you see... and suddenly you're seeing double!

Actually...

...there were three of them!

Absolutely fabulous and a wicked gleam in those eyes!

Talking of wicked gleams...

...did you need the head protection on the way round Fi?

Another naughty group followed!

It really looks like we were having too much fun!

The individual who won the best bad taste prize was our quiet and retiring lady Captain!

The group prize went to our Christmas wonders Liz, Sam and Angie!

In the golf...

third place was won by Fiona, Antoinette and Jayne with 100  points!

In second place with 104 points were Sue S, Sue D and Lyn and the winners ...

Bev, Claire and Chris J with 106  points.

Well played ladies!!

It was such an enjoyable day and we raised around £120 for the charity while we were having all that fun!

I 'd like to add that someone in our group tried very hard to lose the ball on the first hole...the drive almost reached the water... the second shot reached the long grass at the water's edge... the drop out was safe...but the next shot bounced on the far bank...just escaping the grasp of Crocodile Creek. Happy to say that each of us tried very hard to lose the ball but we managed to keep it to the end!

Mind you... it's not a bad approach to having a happy day...lose the golden ball early then you relax and have even more fun!

Thanks Sarah for a fabulous day and to Jean  for the results!

More please!
