Stableford and Polglase 2

28th April Polglase 2 Stableford

Blue skies and bright sun were a little misleading today...the wind was chill and several of us ended up with hats on!

It was great to see the rough had been cut...so visible where Mark and Chris have mowed... it was still possible to lose a ball but a great improvement!  Thanks!

Fourteen fabulous women came to play the Polglase 2 Stableford competition.

It looked as if we might have some decent scores today with the sun; a breeze rather than a strong wind and freshly cut greens... but none of us actually managed to score well!

Frieda came nearest to it and won the Stableford competition with 33 points. Well played Frieda...  and parring the 14th! :-)

In second place was Fran with 32 points; the only lady among us who scored on every hole... (no blobs!) and who parred the first!;  Fran was followed by Hilary and Bev who both scored 30 points with Hils winning on countback!

There were many ladies who scored in the low to mid 20s... it was not easy out there!

Well done everyone - for the full results click here.

The Polglase Competition scores will be put up on the noticeboard.
Pam's lovely shot onto the 1st green from 100yds out.
Tomorrow is the Anniversary Scramble... hoping for similar (and hopefully warmer) weather for tomorrow!
