Lady Captain's Day

 Lady Captain's Day

Captain Blight's day!

Sarah and friend Wendy

Very impressed with our Captain's influence - she arranged the weather perfectly!

In fact, arranged the whole day perfectly - we had super weather; great company; a fun competition; fab refreshments at the 12th and a scrummy curry afterwards.

Refreshment table

There were 20 ladies able to play the scramble today - several weren't able to make it through injury, work or other commitments but a lovely time was had by those that were able to play.

Sarah took lots of pictures so get ready for a photo-fest!

Fran and Ros and Claire were very sad that Claire was injured and unable to make it today. Brian couldn't find a skirt and wig otherwise he'd have been there instead!!

Ros on the tee

Fran's shot on 13!

There was some great play today.
The picture above was Fran's tee shot on the 13th!
 Fabulous!
Why didn't it go in?
So close to a hole in one!
They also had another two - well played Fran and Ros.

The team of Lyn, Chris J and Jean also had star quality!

The above picture is the pin on the third green... and this was their second shot; a two on the third...  and achieved by Jean!
Well played!
Jean's just rewards!

Jenny, Lynne and Marion being distracted from their golf by the refreshment table!

Those sausage rolls and cakes were absolutely delicious... and the bucks fizz went down happily too!

Another group was Fiona, Chris L  and Sam

Fi's drive on the 12th was on the green and the ball was holed for a two...

...and I hear tell that Sam drove the orchard on the 15th! I think that handicap will be tumbling!
Well played!

Sam

Team Hils, Jayne and Pam earned third place with a score of 65.625 apparently Pam was the demon putter once again!

The reprobates below also posted a good score.

Spot the ball?

The steady play of the whole team led to 2nd place with a score of 63.25!

Our super-scorer Di and her well earned refreshments...

The umbrella gave very necessary shade!

Oh and the winners?!!!

With a fabulous score of 61.875 were Sue D, Lindsay and Frieda!

Well played team!

The course is playing great ( did we all manage to                                                          avoid the rough-cutter on the 15th?)

Many thanks to Sarah and Wendy; and to everyone involved who made today such a lovely one.
