Polglase 4 Medal

 Polglase 4

Today was Polglase 4 and a Medal!

Fifteen wonderful ladies played today and it was a little bit of a challenge!

It was misty, damp, foggy, drizzly, dry but never sunny!

However, despite the fog-horn being blown to pause play we managed to get the whole round in.

We had collected back in the car-park and weren't there for long before the horn was blown again for us to return. Off we traipsed again back to where we had left off.

The results were very close.

Well done Frieda for your nett 71!

There were three ladies posting a nett 73 with Sue D coming out on top.

Sue D in fact parred 7 holes in a row starting with the 9th and parring each one up to and including the 15th! That's some good play!

Other shots of note were from Bev who birdied the 6th; birdies by Fran, Fiona and myself on the 12th and also for me on 5th.

So, despite the rather inclement conditions there was some good golf played.

Today was the final round of the Polglase Trophy competition which had had Liz in the lead with 23 points before today's round started.

However, Sue D played a fabulous back 9 today to pull herself back into contention and into second place in today's medal. This gave her enough points to beat Liz by one point in the overall totals!

So, huge congratulations to Sue who has won the Polglase Trophy with 24 points.

In second place was Liz with 23 points and in third was Frieda with 21.

Well done everyone - another close result!

Thanks as always to Mark and his team for the condition of the course.
