Thursday 12th Aug

Thursday Front 9

Seventeen fabulous women took to the fairways this morning for a front 9 stableford competition and some equally fabulous scores were recorded!

The morning had started with mist drifting in and out but bright sun eventually broke through and how lovely to see so many ladies out on the course.

Our winner - with 5 pars on her card was Sam with 23 points!

One shot behind her were Angie and Chris J with 22 points apiece with Chris winning on countback.

There were lots of good scores in fact with the first 9 ladies scoring  18 or more points - what a morning!

For the first time in a while on a Thursday, many of us stayed on the terrace  for the results. It was good to catch up with folk we haven't seen for a while.

Whilst we were there the Coastguard rescue helicopter came over and hovered behind the big house for ages.

In fact it was way beyond the big house hovering over the cliff at the mouth of the Tregeseal valley. Several folk stopped to watch as they eventually winched a casualty up from the rocks. There seemed to be about 8 cliff rescue folk and medics attending so they were being well cared for and we can only hope that they were not seriously injured.

This Saturday is the Godolphin Goblet and Admiration Cup  - lets hope for more good weather and more excellent scoring!
