May Medal and WRVS Trophy

Sunshine... blue sky... sea mist... a birdie, pars, bogeys, lost balls... it all happened today!

Ten terrific ladies played in the competition today.

Well done Chris J for your birdie on the second...three times better than my 9!!! 

We started in sunshine and there was only the lightest of breezes so we had excellent weather conditions. 

The issues came with hunting for balls in the rough... (and sometimes failing), then attempting to play out of it. 

In some cases it was almost impossible!

However despite that there was some very good play.  Our worthy winner of the Medal and WRVS trophy was Lyn who played beautifully! She had 6 pars (including the 8th!);  great putting... sinking them from all over the place and was one turn of the ball away from a birdie on the 14th!

In second place was myself with a Nett 76 and Fran was third with a Nett 78!

It was lovely to see Ros and Anne who joined us for coffee in the sunshine; there was a wedding going on so we made the most of the good weather!
