Thursday 3rd May

Back 9

Just 9 wonderful women came to play today...

'the sun shone... the grass was riz...we wondered where the birdies is!'

There weren't any birdies but there were a few pars!

The course looked gorgeous in the sunshine... the rough cutter may be back next week and there is talk of a new greens machine; Mark and Chris are doing sterling work in the mean time.

It was beautiful out there and some of us ended up without coats and jumpers enjoying the sun in tee shirts!

Our winner today had to be decided on Countback of course!

Sue D was our winner with 17 points, just pipping Jane to first place!

Sue recently represented Cape at Totnes in the medal winners regional final. She acquitted herself very well coming 18th out of 84 competitors. The contest was very close and Sue was only two shots away from being in the top ten!
Well done Sue (and caddie Judy!)

Playing in an England Golf competitions gives us a timely reminder about rules and etiquette.
Sue said everyone was asked to play 'ready golf', also receiving the reminder below about pace of play.

It is something we can all take on board... it's a good time for the reminder as (hopefully) we'll be playing more golf now the weather is better. (I say that with fingers most definitely crossed!)
