Thursday 17th Jan

Front Nine

Today was bright and beautiful... but very cold!
Once we got going... if we were layered up... it was very pleasant although the wind remained an issue the whole time.

This was reflected in the scores.
And... as it was Di's first Thursday morning as Captain, the Cape ladies decided to keep up the tradition of wallowing in Countback!

It was needed to decide both groups!

In the B group the winner (just pipping Angie on said Countback) was Lynne!

In the A group there were 4 ladies with the same number of points!
Winning nothing but having 13 points were Chris J and me... but the winning two were Sue D and Lyn.
Both also having 13 points with Lyn just outscoring Sue on the countback!

Well done everyone who played - 12 ladies were able to brave the conditions.
If there had been a roaring fire to welcome us at Cape we would have been very tempted to sit by it... but as it turned out, it was lovely to be on the course - the fresh air will have done us some good.

It was great to have Fran playing despite her Frozen shoulder and are all hoping it it will clear up quickly.  Hope you found your elusive hat too, Pam!

Di introduced us to the 100 club to raise funds for this year's charity. The details are on the board (including the men and seniors). Basically for a £2 a month we can choose a number which goes into a draw which is made on the last Saturday of each month. The more folk who enter the more prize money there will be... (40% of the takings goes to prizes).
So, for £22 we can enter for the year  😃

Also the diary insert is available with the League and Friendly matches...

Plus key dates and mixed competitions.
