Thursday back 9 and cheque presentation

Thursday Back 9
and
Alzheimer's cheque presentation

There were only 8 ladies who played today - the weather looked quite unsavoury with mist rolling in and out... but... there was no wind and it was mild!

So even though we started in mist, it was lovely by the time we finished.

Jenny and I went out at first (because I had to rush off at 11am) when it was still fairly misty. We teed off on the 10th but initially couldn't find my ball, eventually Jenny found it... sat in the gap in the wall (down the right hand side)! We weren't quite sure how it got there!

We were pleased to see the mist lifting...

The ground was very wet but the course is looking good.

The winner today with 15 points was Sue D; and in second was Sue S with 13 points... this was on countback of course!
Well played all - it was nicer out there than at first sight!

The golf was followed by the presentation of Sue's cheque to the Alzheimer's charity.
The cheque was for £2007 - a fabulous amount!  Well done Sue and everyone (including the men) who supported Sue's charity activities through the year.

I'm sorry I missed this - I had to rush off for Tim who was travelling to London and is then flying out to join Phil in Korea... working in the same school as him! It all happened very quickly so it has been quite crazy over the last week or so.
